The Bible is at the center of
everything we do at FBC Trussville. We feel it’s important for kids to
have an understanding of the Bible and know how to use it on a regular
basis. We want the Bible to come alive to the children. We think
Sundays should be the most exciting few hours of the week!

FB 4th Floor
The decisions 5th and 6th graders make
will determine their character in the years to come. We place a high
value on preteens at FBC Trussville. Preteens meet separately from
1st-4th graders on the 4th floor on Sundays and Wednesdays. During
Sunday School, we study the Bible in a chronological fashion and show
how the Bible relates to 5th and 6th graders lives.
Our preteen ministry is
called Four Twelve based on 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, “Do not let
anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for
the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
We believe that preteens can make an incredible impact on this world
for Christ and we want to do everything we can to encourage them to
think Biblically.

FB 2nd floor
Wednesday nights at First Baptist is the place to be. it all
starts at 6:00 p.m on the second floor and ends at 7:30 for first
through fourth graders. The night includes large group worship,
games, music and small group Bible study. Lessons from Sunday School
are reinforced and Scripture memory is a key component to Acts 1:8.
The kids will also learn to live out Acts 1:8 which says, “But you
will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be
my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends
of the earth.”

5th-6th graders

FB 4th floor
Preteens meet on the 4th floor of the children’s building from
6:00-7:30 p.m. Fifth and sixth graders begin with a time of small
group Bible study led by high school students, followed by praise and
worship and large group Bible study. We conclude our time together
with a time of dodge ball in the gym.
